Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in engineering, information systems, business, or a related field
- Over 5 years of experience with manufacturing master data
- Strong proficiency in ERP systems/environment (SAP, S/4HANA)
- Proven experience in project management, BOM structures, and routings
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and work centers
- Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills with keen attention to detail
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, data validation)
- Experience in complex manufacturing environments (aerospace, automotive, industrial, or regulated)
- Familiarity with MES or PLM systems (preferred)
- Knowledge of engineering change management processes (preferred)
- Exposure to lean manufacturing or Six Sigma (preferred)
- Experience in ERP implementations or large-scale data cleanup initiatives (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and oversee manufacturing master data including Bills of Material (BOMs), routings, and item masters
- Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data across ERP/MRP and relevant systems
- Process engineering changes (ECRs/ECOs) and ensure timely implementation in systems
- Establish and enforce master data standards, naming conventions, and governance protocols
- Conduct regular audits and quality checks to identify and rectify discrepancies
- Support root cause analysis for planning, costing, and execution issues related to master data errors
- Document procedures and work instructions for master data management
- Collaborate with Engineering to validate BOMs and routings prior to production release
- Provide assistance to Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Planning teams with reliable data for scheduling, capacity planning, and material availability
- Work together with Quality to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Serve as a point of contact for queries and issues related to master data
- Aid in ERP/MRP system implementations, upgrades, and enhancements concerning master data
- Assist with data migration, cleansing, and validation during system projects
- Identify opportunities for improving data workflows, minimizing manual tasks, and enhancing automation
- Participate in lean, digital manufacturing, and operational excellence initiatives
