Requirements

Must:
- Experience with network devices, appliances, firewalls, routers, and various versions of UNIX operating systems on information systems, including workstations, servers, laptops, and network devices. - Knowledge of DoD STIGs and RMF assessment tools. - Ability to consolidate, create, and present findings based on analysis. - Ability to travel up to 85% of the time to CONUS and OCONUS locations. - Top Secret clearance. - High school diploma or GED. - 8570 IAT II Certification. Nice If You Have: - TS/SCI clearance. - Bachelor's degree. - Assessor Program (ACP), UNIX, or network vulnerability assessments Certification. - 8570 IAT III Certification. - Security Scanning Courses, including Walk-through Training Courses, Onsite Shadowing, and Checkride or eMASS.

Responsibilities

As a Network and UNIX Cybersecurity Assessor, I will work closely with government leaders to identify their cyber risks and understand applicable policies. My role will involve: - Collaborating with IT Security Professionals, Network Administrators, and System Administrators to gather technical, environmental, and personnel details for a comprehensive threat assessment. - Assisting my team in guiding clients through actionable plans, which will include crafting presentations and whitepapers along with setting milestones for success. - Translating complex security concepts into understandable plans to aid clients in making informed decisions that secure their mission-critical infrastructure. - Conducting reviews of enterprises, enclaves, networks, systems, and applications, by implementing national and DoD-level Cybersecurity and Certification support standards. - Ensuring that information systems, assets, and enclaves are equipped with the necessary security measures to protect against adversarial threats.
