Requirements
Must:
- Experience with network configuration for Cisco, Palo Alto, and other vendor switches, routers, and firewalls
- Experience developing and documenting network topologies
- Experience in troubleshooting and restoring network and system outages
- Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) field and 4+ years of experience engineering networks for the DoD or 6+ years of experience engineering networks for the DoD in lieu of a degree
- Experience supporting navy tactical networks (preferred)
- TS/SCI clearance (preferred)
- CCNA, Security+, VMWare, Palo Alto, or data center certifications (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Design tactical networks in support of the US Navy and other afloat commands
- Evaluate and modernize tactical afloat network designs through the development of network topologies and templates from system requirements
- Develop network templates and IP plans, and development of test plans and documentation
- Gain experience in DoN acquisition
- Translate real-world needs into technical specifications
