Requirements
Must:
- A minimum of 3 years experience in systems engineering practices, including requirements analysis, design, integration, sustainment, testing, and technology refresh
- Familiarity with SATCOM system architectures and hardware limitations, as well as the definition and selection of innovative concepts and approaches
- Proven experience in planning, organizing, and executing technical projects, including design, development, testing, and sustainment
- Ability to create systems engineering plans and identify risks related to cost, schedule, and performance, along with developing mitigation strategies
- Strong skills in analyzing, assessing, and planning approaches to solve complex technical challenges
- Experience in coordinating and consolidating design activities for major projects
- Knowledge of SATCOM Gateway or Teleport architectures and their functionalities
- Understanding of security architecture evaluation, guidance formulation, and troubleshooting
- Active Top Secret clearance
- Bachelors degree in a relevant field
Responsibilities
- Utilize systems engineering expertise to create satellite communications (SATCOM) networks across a global network of SATCOM facilities, delivering crucial data to tactical and strategic users
- Contribute to the creation of enterprise-level system architectures and related documentation to manage the development, deployment, sustainment, refresh, and operations of SATCOM systems
- Collaborate with the team to transition customer requirements into technical specifications, ensuring that the engineering solutions are customer-centric
- Engage in mentoring and skill development while gaining experience in the national security sector
- Assist in defining and developing effective engineering solutions that meet mission objectives
