Requirements
Must:
- I possess at least 3 years of experience designing and implementing local area networks (LANs) and virtual local area networks (VLANs).
- I have a minimum of 3 years of experience in the design, deployment, and advanced support of multi-protocol IP backbone and access networks.
- I bring 3 years of experience creating new network architectures or modifying existing ones to accommodate changing client requirements.
- I have 2 years of experience applying network design methodologies and principles of network architecture.
- I hold 2 years of experience deploying, upgrading, configuring, and troubleshooting multivendor network equipment and solutions.
- I have experience working with classified networks, along with a solid understanding of access controls, network security, and communication and routing protocols.
- I am capable of analyzing, recommending, and designing new or improved operational capabilities across the enterprise network topology.
- I hold a TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
- I possess a Bachelor’s degree in an IT field, paired with 4 years of experience in IT, or I have 8 years of relevant IT experience in lieu of a degree.
Responsibilities
- In my role as a network engineer, I will design and implement robust networks that ensure seamless data transfer, enabling customers to fulfill their missions effectively.
- I will utilize my expertise in routing and switching, network design, system interoperability, IP engineering, and network transport layers as I work collaboratively with a team dedicated to problem-solving.
- I will be responsible for the careful planning and execution of network architecture to meet evolving organizational needs.
- I will assist in all aspects of network management, from design to implementation, maintenance, and upgrading of existing systems.
- I will translate client requirements into technical solutions that are standards-based and cost-effective.
- I will lead and facilitate technical discussions with both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clarity and effective communication.
