Requirements
Must:
- Over 5 years of experience in model-based systems engineering, specifically in developing system models for defense or aerospace projects
- More than 5 years of experience utilizing SysML
- At least 2 years of experience applying metrics suites, custom profiles, and validation rules to system models
- Proven ability to create and implement modeling standards and best practices
- Must possess a Secret clearance
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Science, or Technology
- Holding a CSMP Level 2 or OCSMP Model Builder- Intermediate Certification
Responsibilities
- Establish practices and standards for model-based systems engineering
- Recommend common modeling frameworks along with necessary model elements and diagrams to ensure accuracy
- Approve model taxonomy and libraries to maintain consistency
- Create data tagging and model security marking protocols
- Develop guidelines for model discoverability and cataloging, including MBSE modeling and data best practices
- Review current DoD, DON, or NAVSEA-level documentation to define minimum system model standards
- Enhance existing DoD, DON, or NAVSEA-level guidance with industry best practices and recommend model taxonomy
- Formulate data tagging and security marking processes for systems models
- Provide direction on model discoverability and catalog, recommending a shared model framework and necessary taxonomy and libraries
- Offer advice on model data tagging, security marking, discoverability, cataloging, and best practices
