Requirements

Must:
- 7+ years of experience in Department of Defense simulation and training environments - Proficiency in applying the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and implementing DoD security controls for system accreditation - Familiarity with High-Level Architecture, Distributed Interactive Simulation, and Open Mission Systems standards - Expertise in architecting, integrating, and managing complex systems in distributed simulation settings - Capability to provide insightful feedback on SCARS standards - Valid Secret clearance - Bachelors degree in Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or Computer Science - IAT Level II Certification - Experience with Air Force or DoD acquisitions, program planning, and coordination using tools like Microsoft Project and Excel (preferred) - Knowledge of LAN or WAN infrastructure, remote connectivity solutions, and network hardware like routers, bridges, and firewalls (preferred) - Understanding of systems engineering and standards processes based on the Systems Engineering Body of Knowledge (SeBoK) (preferred) - Familiarity with cloud technology, software virtualization, containerization, Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), SysML, and Digital Engineering (DE) (preferred) - Strong communication and public speaking ability (preferred) - Top Secret clearance (preferred)

Responsibilities

- Collaborate with the Simulator Common Architecture Requirements and Standards (SCARS) Team to enhance cybersecurity and promote standardization of simulator components - Utilize modular open systems architecture to develop effective solutions for training and simulation within the Air Force environment - Work with cross-functional teams to turn operational challenges into efficient technical outcomes - Leverage expertise in data analysis, optimization, and high-performance computing to drive innovation and improve mission capabilities - Translate customer requirements into technical specifications ensuring alignment with their strategic objectives
