Requirements

Must:
- 8+ years of experience in RF or microwave circuit design, focusing on amplifiers, mixers, oscillators, filters, and antennas, along with metrics such as SNR and NF - Proven track record in designing custom RF hardware or integrating COTS RF hardware through stages of simulation, fabrication, testing, and optimization specific to Space Payloads - Proficiency in advanced RF or microwave design techniques, including electromagnetic simulation - Familiarity with RF measurement and testing equipment, such as spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and signal generators - Expertise in design and RF simulation software like AWR Microwave Office, HFSS, or FEKO - Knowledge of AS9100 standards, mission assurance protocols, and space hardware workmanship guidelines - Strong troubleshooting skills for RF hardware issues - Capability to manage multiple priorities and adhere to deadlines within a team setting - Holding a Top Secret clearance - Bachelors degree in an Electrical Engineering discipline

Responsibilities

- Lead the design, development, integration, and testing of mission-critical RF payloads for next-generation space vehicles - Oversee technical initiatives from initial concept to flight-ready status, encompassing RF circuit and antenna design, and integration of SDR capabilities - Conduct comprehensive verification activities that support various environmental, functional, and performance tests - Collaborate on RF subsystem architecture and guide the development of antenna and front-end components - Mentor and support junior engineers, promoting engineering rigor and identifying innovative solutions to enhance technical processes - Drive mission assurance standards compliance in payload development - Contribute to the advancement of scalable RF space payload capabilities for mission-critical applications
