Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in applying risk management methodologies from best practices such as NIST SP 800-30, SP 800-53, or CIS benchmarks for system security configurations
- Professional background as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO)
- Familiarity with control implementations related to RMF, FedRAMP, ICD 503, and DoD information levels for IT solutions
- Capability in developing and evaluating ATO authorization packages using Xacta or eMASS
- Expertise in analyzing compliance and vulnerability scan results and executing necessary mitigations
- Proficiency with DoD security technical implementation guides (STIGs) and associated testing tools such as STIG Viewer and SCAP
- Experience in performing audit log reviews to identify unusual behavior and overseeing continuous monitoring procedures
- Active TS/SCI security clearance with willingness to undergo a polygraph examination
- Bachelors degree in Cybersecurity and 2+ years of relevant experience in an ISSO role, or 5+ years of experience in similar capacity without a degree
- DoD Directive 8140 Qual Matrix for Information Assurance Technician Level II or Information Assurance Manager II Certification
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with government stakeholders to identify and assess cyber risks and develop mitigation strategies
- Partner with the Information System Security Manager to monitor the information systems and ensure security compliance
- Create and update authorization documentation while managing configuration within authorization boundaries
- Conduct risk assessments while considering data confidentiality, integrity, and availability
- Participate in organized incident response actions and liaise with stakeholders regarding key developments
- Assist the team in meeting authorization deadlines and coordinate communication with external parties as needed
