Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience with the CMS Medicare Ground Ambulance Data Collection System, the CMS Emergency Triage, Treat, and Transport (ET3) model, or the CMS Repetitive Scheduled Non-Emergency Transports (RSNAT) model
- Background in advising federal clients on Medicare policy and operations with a focus on building trusted advisory relationships
- Skills in gathering requirements for analyses to address research inquiries, as well as developing and presenting outcomes to clients
- Experience supervising the work of analysts performing claims data analyses
- Understanding of federal rulemaking processes
- Familiarity with data validation methods to enhance data quality in user-submitted systems
- Capacity to interpret federal health policy and design analyses to evaluate the monitoring and effects of policy modifications
- Proven ability to publish peer-reviewed articles using the National EMS Information System (NEMSIS) dataset, National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT), or ambulance claims data
- Masters degree in Public Policy, Public Health, Economics, Data Analytics, or equivalent field
Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret data related to ground ambulance policies to support our clients needs
- Collaborate with federal clients to provide strategic advice on Medicare policy and operational improvements
- Gather and define requirements for analyses aimed at addressing specific research questions
- Develop and deliver presentations that communicate analytic results to clients
- Supervise and guide a team of analysts in conducting comprehensive claims data analyses
- Ensure data quality through the application of rigorous validation procedures
- Design analytical approaches to assess the impact and effectiveness of policy changes in federal health
- Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals, utilizing various datasets relevant to ground ambulance services
- Participate in the creation and delivery of training materials and sessions for data submitters
