Configuration Management Engineer

- Over 7 years of experience in mechanical engineering, mechanical design, or hardware engineering related to complex systems development or sustainment - At least 5 years of experience conducting configuration management activities for engineering programs, covering aspects such as configuration identification, control, status accounting, and verification - Demonstrated experience managing engineering change requests (ECR), engineering change orders (ECO), or engineering change notices (ECN) through a structured change control process - Proven record in maintaining technical baselines, engineering documentation repositories, and configuration-controlled artifacts - Expertise in operating PDM or PLM systems, maintaining engineering documentation vaults, and preparing Bills of Materials (BOMs) and technical reports - Proficient in creating 2D and 3D mechanical models and technical drawings using CAD software like AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or PTC Creo, ensuring data management and technical governance - Familiarity with DoD configuration management standards and engineering documentation practices - Ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, manufacturing, integration, and program management teams to uphold configuration discipline throughout development - Possession of a Secret clearance - Bachelors degree in an engineering discipline, preferably Mechanical Engineering
