Requirements
Must:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or a closely related field
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience or an equivalent blend of education and experience
- Experience with Vehicle Management Systems is preferred
- Familiarity with modeling and simulation techniques
- Proficiency in Matlab/Simulink/Stateflow
- Knowledge of software requirements formulation, design, hardware/software integration, and testing processes
- Understanding of VMS design activities, including hardware/software design, integration, and test procedure development
- Insight into air vehicle subsystems control architecture and flight control systems
- Experience using Microsoft Visio, Clearcase, C++, C#, Visual Studio, and Python
- An active Secret clearance is highly desirable
Responsibilities
- Develop software requirements and architectural design for a Vehicle Management System (VMS)
- Utilize model-based system engineering techniques for crafting and verifying system requirements
- Translate requirements into mathematical models for formulation and testing
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to design solutions for various airplane subsystems, including actuation and signal processing
- Coordinate and integrate requirements across multiple engineering disciplines
- Conduct verification and validation of software against designed requirements in both simulated and physical test environments
- Perform analyses to support the certification process of the Vehicle Management System
