Requirements
Must:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or equivalent qualifications relevant to the role.
- At least 2 years of experience in systems engineering, integration, verification, validation, or testing.
- Strong proficiency in written and verbal communication; proven ability to lead technical discussions.
- (Preferred) 5+ years of experience for Level 3 or 9+ years for Level 4 in relevant fields.
- (Preferred) Masters degree in Systems Engineering.
- (Preferred) Experience with military aircraft development, integration, or sustainment.
- (Preferred) Knowledge of air-to-air refueling systems and systems safety processes.
- (Preferred) Familiarity with requirements management tools and model-based systems engineering concepts.
- (Preferred) Experience with aircraft systems or avionics integration.
- (Preferred) Previous experience leading systems engineering to address risks associated with manufacturing sources and material shortages.
Responsibilities
- Direct the integration of hardware and software for KC-46 mission and refueling systems at both airplane and system levels.
- Oversee development, management, validation, and verification of requirements throughout the program.
- Coordinate requirements definition and validation across multiple engineering teams to ensure quality outputs.
- Apply expertise in airplane systems to assist with design, integration, and troubleshooting tasks.
- Create and sustain Concept of Operations, operational documentation, and system use cases.
- Organize and conduct ground and flight test campaigns, including writing test procedures and performing post-test evaluations.
- Implement model-based systems engineering practices to record engineering outcomes.
- Actively participate in test events through console operations.
- Assist with troubleshooting, root cause investigation, and corrective actions concerning integration challenges.
- Collaborate with various engineering teams to ensure smooth system integration.
- Contribute to design and safety review processes, and certify activities.
- Foster ongoing improvement in integration methods and system operability.
- Exhibit leadership in interdisciplinary groups, facilitating technical discussions and accountability.
- Effectively communicate with technical teams, management, and stakeholders through clear documentation and presentations.
