Requirements
Must:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or equivalent qualifications directly associated with the work
- Over 5 years of systems engineering experience focused on verification & validation, integration planning, and test execution
- Proven experience as a Product Owner or in a similar capacity within Agile/SAFe frameworks; involved in PI planning and sprint ceremonies
- Demonstrated ability to derive test cases from system requirements and conduct/accept verification events in laboratory or distributed settings
- Familiarity with requirements management and ALM tools (DOORS, Jira) and test management systems
- Ability to create clear acceptance criteria and ensure measurable verification outcomes
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across engineering and product teams
Responsibilities
- Serve as SAFe Product Owner for an Agile team, managing the team backlog, prioritizing tasks, and defining criteria for completion regarding systems requirements, integration tasks, and verification activities
- Transform program/system requirements into clearly articulated user stories, acceptance criteria, and verifiable outcomes
- Lead the planning for systems verification: develop test cases based on requirements, coordinate integration testing sequences, and verify traceability
- Collaborate with cross-discipline teams (systems, software, testing, integration) to drive project execution and meet deliverables
- Work closely with the Release Train Engineer (RTE), System Architects, and Product Management to align team goals with program priorities and SAFe cadence (including PI planning, demonstrations, and retrospectives)
- Ensure and demonstrate traceability from requirements to tests using management and ALM tools
- Define and approve integrated deliverables such as ICDs, integration checklists, Verification & Validation reports, test outcomes, and After Action Review (AAR) materials
- Mentor systems engineers in Agile practices, story development, test-driven verification, and defining acceptance criteria
- Provide updates on progress, challenges, and verification status to program stakeholders; assist in mitigating any barriers to delivery
