Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience leading or managing a software engineering team and software activities
- At least 3 years in a technical leadership or managerial role within a software development or product deployment team
- Comprehensive understanding of the entire software development life cycle and methodologies such as Agile and DevOps
- Bachelors degree in engineering, engineering technology, computer science, data science, mathematics, chemistry, or physics, or equivalent experience (preferred)
- Familiarity with the Scale Agile Framework (SAFe) and Agile software development
- Experience with flight software, simulation programs, or user interface development
- Knowledge of DevOps practices including continuous integration and deployment, configuration management, and security analysis
- Understanding of safety-critical software standards such as DO-178/DO-331 and MIL-HDBK-516C
- Experience within a cross-functional Integrated Product Team (IPT) structure
- Proven ability in team building, employee development, and motivation
- Strong communication skills and problem-solving abilities with a focus on innovation and productivity
Responsibilities

- Guarantee compliance with Software Design Practices and quality processes as required by the program
- Lead teams in Software Configuration & Release, Agile coaching, DevSecOps practices, and support for Internal Tools in Precision Engagement Systems
- Formulate and implement service plans, policies, standards, and procedures that align with program objectives and BDS priorities
- Develop and manage roadmaps for shared services, focusing on prioritization, capacity planning, SLAs, and measurable outcomes
- Collaborate with program leads, system architects, product owners, and other stakeholders to meet operational and security requirements
- Promote continuous improvement in software processes, automation, and release management across product lines
- Track and report metrics and KPIs for service reliability and effectiveness; leverage data for informed decision-making
- Oversee and approve technical strategies for shared services, ensuring alignment with best practices and compliance
- Mentor and motivate technical leads and engineers, fostering a collaborative and accountable environment
- Manage supplier and vendor relationships, ensuring performance meets contractual obligations and integrates effectively
- Identify opportunities to mitigate program risks, optimize costs, and enhance delivery efficiency through process improvements
