Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience managing or leading software engineering teams
- At least 3 years of experience with project management principles
- Proficient in Agile Software Development methodologies
- Proven ability to deliver high levels of customer satisfaction
- Bachelors degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, computer science or related field, or equivalent experience preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in developing large-scale software systems
- Background in real-time embedded systems development
- Over 3 years of experience using Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
- Familiarity with C++ or Ada
- Experience working with DOD customers
- Engagement in Program Increment (PI) planning and milestone reviews
- Knowledge of software requirements development and collaboration with system/subsystem engineers
- Experience working with external software suppliers
Responsibilities
- Lead software engineering team through the software development lifecycle
- Build and maintain relationships with peers, business partners, clients, and other stakeholders
- Supervise software architecture, design, and implementation to ensure adherence to Software Engineering Design Practices and safety-critical standards
- Participate in program operating activities including Program Increment (PI) Planning and Risk/Issue/Opportunity (RIO) management
- Collaborate to create and execute project and process plans, implement policies, and maintain roadmaps
- Acquire necessary resources for projects, overseeing and approving technical approaches that align with our strategy
- Demonstrate commitment to the mission, combining team expertise to achieve shared goals
- Manage technical planning and execution regarding software timelines, costs, and scope, including Earned Value Management (EVM) duties and reporting
