Requirements
Must:
- Minimum 2 years of experience leading software-related projects or technical teams
- At least 7 years of experience in embedded software architecture, development, or design
- 7 years of professional experience with programming languages such as C, C++, C#, Python, Java, or Ada
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science is preferred
- Familiarity with distributed and containerized software architecture
- Practical experience developing on Linux and Windows platforms
- Knowledge of software architecture documentation using Model-Based Systems Engineering tools
- Experience with Open Architecture standards like OMS
- Previous work in various software development environments across different security levels
- Background in developing mission systems software for aircraft platforms
- Proficiency in requirements, design, development, and testing of software systems
- Understanding of DevSecOps and complex software build plans
- Experience working in Agile teams using methodologies and tools such as Jira
Responsibilities
- Lead activities to create, document, and maintain software systems architecture, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs
- Assist in developing and maintaining the roadmap and vision for Battlespace Picture
- Develop and oversee the implementation of containerized software architecture across diverse hardware types
- Implement open architecture constructs such as OMS and OCS utilizing Universal Command and Control Interface (UCI)
- Define requirements and service contracts for OMS services, as well as boundaries for OMS subsystems
- Lead the coding and integration of complex software components into a fully functional system
- Oversee the creation of software verification plans, test procedures, and environments, executing tests to ensure software requirements are met
- Provide technical leadership for software projects while managing supplier activities
- Plan, execute, and document software research and development initiatives
- Monitor and assess software team and supplier performance to meet project plans and industry standards
- Train and mentor team members
- Work under minimal supervision
