Requirements
Must:
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science from an accredited institution
- Over 10 years of experience in C, C++, C#, Python, Java, or Ada
- Proven experience in requirements analysis, management, and decomposition
- Familiarity with standard engineering tools such as MBSE/PLE, Cameo, DOORS, and collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence, Git)
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, architecture, development, and maintenance of P-8 Operating Systems products including the Virtual Integration Platform (VIP)
- Oversee the design, architecture, prototyping, and modernization of mission computing software
- Collaborate with software and hardware stakeholders to clarify system requirements and translate them into software specifications for Navy client needs
- Provide architectural guidance across teams for P-8 Mission Systems Software, including assessing new business opportunities
- Mentor junior engineers and facilitate knowledge sharing through the creation and documentation of standard design, testing, and execution processes
