Requirements
Must:
- 9+ years of relevant work experience or an equivalent mix of education and experience
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science from an accredited institution
- 8+ years of experience within the certification value stream
- Familiarity with International Type Validation and/or Operational Certification
- 4+ years of experience with certification processes adhering to 14 CFR 21.93, 21.95, and 21.97
- Ability to think systemically and develop engineering suggestions based on data analysis with a focus on long-term impact
- Experience in preparing and delivering presentations to various organizational levels
- Strong skills in investigating and resolving complex technical or regulatory challenges
- Proficient technical writing capabilities
- Ability to extract and compile data from diverse sources
- Experience with analytical tools like Tableau, SQL, R, and Python
Responsibilities
- Lead the identification, analysis, and evaluation of regulatory and contractual compliance of aerospace systems, products, and services
- Work collaboratively with internal and external partners to define airworthiness and regulatory compliance criteria
- Review intricate regulatory and customer requirements and formulate monitoring strategies
- Oversee the analysis of regulatory and certification technical data for thoroughness and alignment with regulatory and contractual expectations
- Devise and execute monitoring strategies
- Research, examine, and oversee compliance processes for achieving regulatory standards while recommending and implementing process enhancements, risks, and opportunities
- Engage with regulatory bodies on complex programs to inform certification strategies, methods, activities, and documentation
- Prepare and assess complex compliance reports and documents in accordance with established requirements and regulations
- Lead the establishment and promotion of global regulatory advocacy strategies, training, tools, and methods
