Requirements
Must:
- Over 10 years of experience with Software/Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
- More than 5 years of experience in engaging, collaborating, and building consensus with stakeholders
- Minimum 5 years of experience guiding teams to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives
- At least 5 years of experience managing teams through change and process improvements
- Over 5 years of experience leading teams in software modernization efforts (tools, processes, technology)
- Active Secret Clearance
Responsibilities
- Lead and enhance the evolution of Precision Strike software from proposal to delivery and maintenance, ensuring safety and quality considerations are met
- Collaborate with engineering and program leaders to fulfill Precision Strike commitments, managing costs, technical aspects, and schedules for high-quality software delivery
- Facilitate documentation and communication regarding software status, risks, and issues to both Precision Strike leadership and upper-level engineering and business leaders
- Ensure best practices in software estimation are employed, including accurate proposal assessments and identification of risks
- Develop key software leadership initiatives focusing on staffing, tools, training, Agile methodologies, and DevSecOps
- Innovate and implement software initiatives that enhance performance or provide business value for Precision Strike
- Promote adherence to software engineering best practices, including Agile maturity and design compliance, while driving modernization efforts
- Support and nurture the technical and career development of software team members, including mentoring, identifying training needs, and promoting candidates for advancement
- Collaborate to ensure the success of software strategies within Precision Strike and broader BDS engagements
