Requirements
Must:
- Over 5 years of experience as a Designated Engineering Representative (DER) or in Technical Standard Order (TSO) Certification
- At least 9 years of experience in RTCA DO-178(B/C) Software Considerations for Airborne Systems Certification
- More than 5 years of software engineering experience
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of engineers focused on the design, analysis, and testing of aircraft systems, emphasizing safety
- Foster a safety-first culture within the engineering unit, prioritizing the safety of passengers and crew
- Collaborate closely with the FAA to navigate the certification process and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Develop and implement engineering strategies aligned with our commitment to safety and reliability
- Act as the main liaison for FAA representatives, promoting clear communication throughout the certification process
- Oversee the creation and submission of detailed technical documentation necessary for FAA certification
- Mentor engineering staff, providing knowledge on safety protocols and certification processes
- Tackle complex engineering challenges with a focus on safety through data-driven decision-making
- Monitor project timelines and ensure engineering solutions are delivered on schedule, meeting safety and certification objectives
