Senior Software Engineer - Systems Development

- Review, develop, document, and maintain system requirements and their traceability throughout the lifecycle - Define strategies, plans, procedures, and acceptance criteria for testing at component, integration, and system levels - Design and implement verification and validation activities, including functional and performance assessments - Analyze test outcomes, conduct root cause analyses, and propose corrective measures - Collaborate across engineering disciplines with developers and test engineers to ensure holistic functionality and mission success - Lead the integration of hardware, software, and mission systems in secure defense environments - Employ modern DevSecOps practices like CI/CD pipelines and automated testing to enhance integration and testing - Establish, configure, and sustain secure test environments using cloud-native and virtual resources - Utilize model-based systems engineering and requirements management tools for design support and traceability - Participate in risk management, reporting technical readiness and critical path impacts - Drive ongoing improvement of integration and testing processes through automation and lessons learned - Document integration results and findings for design reviews and formal customer deliverables - Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across projects
