Requirements

Must:
- 3 years of experience in software engineering - 3 years of proficiency in C/C++ programming - Experience in an agile software development environment - Secret Clearance and Special Program Access, Post-Start - Bachelors degree in engineering, technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science is preferred - 5 or more years of relevant experience or equivalent education and experience - Familiarity with object-oriented architecture and design patterns - Experience with Python, Lua, or OpenGL is advantageous - Competence in developing applications for desktop and mobile platforms - Knowledge of Continuous Integration/Delivery, Version Control, and Build Automation tools - Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Jenkins, Gitlab, CMake, and Visual Studio - Understanding of simulation standards like DIS, DMO, and HLA - Experience with aircraft platforms and training systems is beneficial - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Willingness to work collaboratively within a team environment

Responsibilities

- Lead the design, architecture, and development of simulation models and environments - Collaborate with stakeholders to identify simulation requirements and assess system dynamics - Oversee the validation, verification, and refinement of simulation software, including executing and documenting test procedures - Maintain technical documentation for code, algorithms, and simulation models - Partner with engineering teams to integrate simulation software with hardware systems - Implement current and emerging tools and technologies in the simulation environment - Manage simulation software projects effectively - Promote continuous improvement by suggesting process enhancements and automation - Organize and execute work within an agile sprint team - Act as the primary technical contact for projects and contracts - Engage with senior external personnel on key technical issues - Assist in proposal development and lead engineering execution for project requirements - Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of innovation within the team
