Requirements

Must:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in software programming with C, C++, C#, and .NET for coding, debugging, and development - At least 2 years of experience in programming with Python - Bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science is preferred - 3 or more years of relevant work experience is desirable for Level 3 positions - 5 or more years of relevant work experience is necessary for Level 4 positions - Experience in programming with Rust is advantageous - Active Security Clearance is a plus - Familiarity with embedded software and hardware interfacing is desirable - Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously is recommended - Capability to make decisions with minimal requirements definition is essential - Proficiency in software development within Visual Studio is beneficial - Knowledge of avionics and Ethernet communication protocols is a bonus - Experience with Agile methodologies is preferred - Familiarity with Git, Continuous Integration, and Cloud Computing technologies is helpful

Responsibilities

- Design, architect, and develop simulation models, visualizations, and virtual environments to enhance software and hardware system performance and reliability throughout their lifecycle - Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and review simulation requirements and system dynamics - Conduct design, modeling, simulation, testing, and analysis to assess and enhance system performance and capabilities - Collect and process data to be utilized in simulations - Validate and refine simulation software code and models through rigorous testing procedures and documentation against real-world data - Maintain comprehensive technical documentation for codes, algorithms, specifications, and simulation models - Work alongside cross-functional engineering teams to integrate simulation software with hardware systems - Incorporate state-of-the-art technologies and practices within the software engineering simulation environment - Update and sustain simulation software to modernize legacy systems for compatibility with new operating systems - Manage project functions related to simulation software
