Requirements
Must:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or equivalent qualifications related to the work
- Over 10 years of experience in avionics or electrical systems within the aerospace sector
- Familiarity with P-8 or similar aircraft systems for fleet support or system design
- Experienced in collaborating within a cross-functional environment with multiple stakeholders
- Comprehensive understanding of aircraft systems, flight operations, and airworthiness standards
- Strong organizational and communication skills
Responsibilities
- Provide expert assistance in troubleshooting and resolving mission systems issues for the P-8 aircraft, concentrating on avionics and electrical systems, including but not limited to electrical/electronic, communication & navigation, flight control & avionics systems, mission systems, landing gear, APU, Hydraulic, Fuel, Environmental, and engine systems
- Efficiently diagnose and solve challenging, intermittent, chronic, or complex system problems aligned with operational protocols throughout the P-8 aircraft lifecycle
- Operate with minimal guidance to assist US Navy customers in troubleshooting and resolving mission system faults for the active P-8 fleet
- Enhance standard troubleshooting and repair methodologies with innovative solutions
- Record troubleshooting and repair strategies and supporting data within Boeings internal and US Navy customer computing systems as applicable
- Oversee improvements, enhancements, and amendments to P-8 fleet command media; assist with updates to operational procedures and documentation related to the in-service P-8 fleet to streamline engineering disposition processes and reduce recurrent technical issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Coordinate engineering efforts, demonstrating independence and technical expertise while interacting with US Military personnel
- Represent the P-8 fleet and advocate for customer needs during internal Boeing meetings
- Facilitate coordination and communication with P-8 engineering teams in Boeing Global Services (BGS), Boeing Defense and Space (BDS), and Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) at all levels
