Requirements
Must:
- 10 years of relevant experience in embedded Linux kernel and BSP development
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- Skilled in C programming
- Experienced with version control systems such as Git
- Familiarity with C++ and Python is a plus
- Knowledge of Xilinx Zynq or Ultrascale+ SoC devices
- Experience with Xilinx design flow and toolchain, including Vivado and PetaLinux (Yocto)
- Background with SDRs using AD9361 or Xilinx RFSoC devices
- Understanding of communication standards like SPI, I2C, UART, GPIO, Ethernet, or SpaceWire
- Proficient with HDL simulators such as ModelSim/Questa and Xilinx Simulator (XSIM)
Responsibilities
- Represent software and firmware considerations in multi-disciplinary product development
- Lead the Linux bring-up process for new avionics hardware from initial power-on to delivery of a stable OS image
- Develop and maintain board support packages, bootloaders, kernel configurations, and low-level drivers
- Create internal tools to facilitate rapid hardware validation in both the laboratory and production settings
- Communicate technical risks, impacts on schedules, and integration status to program teams
