Requirements
Must:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering from an accredited program
- Over 9 years of experience leading an Integrated Product Team (IPT) or team in hardware design and delivery
- At least 9 years of expertise with DO-254, design assurance for airborne electronic hardware
- Six Sigma Green Belt certification is mandatory
- Up to 15% travel capability preferred
- Over 7 years of experience in developing complex electronic and electrical systems, including verification and compliance activities
- Experience as FAA Designated Engineering Representative or similar roles is a plus
Responsibilities
- Supervise and direct teams developing airborne electronic hardware for airplane systems
- Ensure compliance with FAA regulations pertaining to Airborne Electronic Hardware development
- Provide guidance to suppliers to enhance their performance concerning contractual requirements
- Participate in audits and design evaluations
- Assess risks and opportunities, aiding suppliers in executing risk mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with internal and external resources to boost supplier performance in meeting customer and program needs
- Build and sustain relationships with suppliers to achieve airplanes systems objectives
