Requirements
Must:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (focus on Electrical, Mechanical, Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or equivalent qualifications related to the work statement
- Level 3: typically 5 or more years of related work experience or equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-U.S. equivalent qualifications
- Level 3: Minimum 3 years of experience with aerospace and avionics systems
- Level 4: typically 9 or more years of related work experience or equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-U.S. equivalent qualifications
- Level 4: Minimum 5 years of experience with aerospace and avionics systems
Responsibilities
- Lead the creation and documentation of complex electronic and electrical system specifications, focusing on electrical power systems
- Convert requirements into system architecture, hardware/software designs, and interface specifications
- Oversee testing and validation processes to confirm system designs adhere to operational and functional specifications
- Monitor supplier performance to guarantee system integration and compliance
- Assist in production builds, including verifying builds and addressing nonconformities
- Direct troubleshooting during Development, Installation, and Production Acceptance Testing
- Review changes to supplier drawings that affect production and update outdated parts or enhance designs
- Create and maintain subsystem diagrams, schematics, and system description documentation
- Manage critical supplier performance and enforce Source Control Drawing requirements
- Collaborate with Supply Chain to create Requests for Information (RFI) for new equipment or long-lead items
- Support project management tasks including work statements, budgets, schedules, and technical reviews
- Generate major proposal sections to aid new business development
- Develop and validate specifications for complex electronic systems and components
