Requirements
Must:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in cloud deployment (Azure preferred)
- At least 3 years working with relational and non-relational database technologies
- Minimum 3 years supporting data science and analytics projects or infrastructure
- 3+ years of experience building production-grade ETL pipelines and working with Data Mesh or Databricks
- Proficient in Python, SQL, and PySpark
- Experience with Large Language Models (LLM) and Natural Language Processing (NLP)
- Familiarity with graph databases and knowledge graph languages (e.g., GraphQL, Cypher)
Responsibilities
- Support the data ecosystem through data ingestion, modeling, operational monitoring, onboarding, and data governance
- Propose data engineering solutions tailored to diverse modeling strategies
- Design, construct, and maintain efficient automated data ingestion and processing pipelines
- Manage raw data ingestion, cleansing, and data contract development
- Create data models and establish data contracts
- Monitor and uphold data quality, integrity, and consistency
- Assist in designing and building scalable and high-performance systems
- Contribute to the collective knowledge and skill set of the technical team
- Participate in team work and code reviews
- Engage in the implementation and support of continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD)
- Build systems for monitoring overall system health, data quality, and scientific performance
- Implement data access controls to comply with data governance requirements
- Contribute to the development of technical documentation
- Collaborate with developers, data analysts, data scientists, and organizational leaders to identify enhancement opportunities
- Display sound judgment and attention to detail while tackling complex issues
- Experience assisting a data mesh on Databricks
