Requirements
Must:
- 5 years of experience with C/C++
- 3 years of experience in designing and developing software for Real-Time or Non-Real-Time systems
- 5 years of experience with the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- 1 year of experience in Safety or Flight Critical Software Development
- Bachelor, Master or Doctorate in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry (preferred)
- Current Secret clearance (preferred)
- 7 or more years of related work experience or equivalent education and experience (preferred)
- Real-time embedded software experience (preferred)
- Experience with Agile Software development (preferred)
- Familiarity with MIL-HDBK-516C, MIL-STD-882E, JSSSEH, DO-178C (preferred)
- Proficient in Python (preferred)
- Experience with VX Works or other Real Time Operating Systems (preferred)
- Knowledge of fault tolerance, signal processing, or control system design (preferred)
- Proficient with tools such as Git (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Design, document, and uphold architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and software system designs
- Write and maintain code and integrate software components into a fully operational software system
- Develop and sustain software development strategies, verification plans, test procedures, and testing environments; execute test procedures and record test outcomes to meet software system requirements
- Provide technical direction for software projects
- Assist in the creation and management of software processes, tools, and metrics
- Act as a subject matter expert for software domains, system-specific issues, processes, and regulations
- Monitor and assess the software team to ensure product and process adherence to project plans and industry standards
- Train and mentor team members
- Work under general supervision
