Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors Degree - Over 5 years of experience leading teams in analyzing and translating requirements into system architecture, hardware, and software designs and interface specifications - Background as an Agile Systems or Software Development Team Lead - More than 5 years of experience in the DevSecOps lifecycle - At least 5 years of experience with DevOps tools (Git, Jenkins, or other CI/CD tools) - Over 5 years of experience utilizing configuration management and collaboration tools such as Git, JIRA, Collaborator, Beyond Compare, and VersionOne - Proficient with scripting/programming languages for automation and testing (e.g., Python, Bash) for at least 1 year

Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain the software architecture focusing on interface clarity, stability, and versioning to reduce integration risk, particularly for production software that is easy to maintain. - Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to shape system definition and translate system-level requirements into software specifications that align with customer, operational, and performance needs while ensuring clear traceability to design, code, and test artifacts. - Oversee supplier/subcontractor software deliverables to guarantee they meet team protocols and integration criteria. - Guide the software engineering team in agile practices: facilitating sprint planning, conducting daily stand-ups, leading sprint reviews/retrospectives, and addressing obstacles to workflow. - Act as the Agile/Delivery lead, collaborating with product/system owners to prioritize the software backlog, set sprint objectives, and ensure timely delivery of integration-ready components. - Formulate, document, and uphold software integration agreements (ICDs or equivalent living artifacts), data structures, and message definitions in sync with Integration & Test and Systems leads. - Ensure software designs accommodate testability by requiring unit, component, integration, SIL/HIL test artifacts with code submissions; integrate observability features, and guarantee failures are identifiable. - Advocate for DevSecOps and CI/CD methodologies within the team, ensuring build pipelines support repeatable builds, automated testing, artifact traceability, and uniform deployments across development, integration, and test settings. - Work closely with Integration & Test to synchronize delivery cycles with integration milestones and controlled configuration baselines. - Propel verification and validation efforts for software components, assist in developing test strategies, analyze testing outcomes, and address defects collaboratively with the team. - Set and monitor delivery metrics (velocity, cycle time, quality metrics, technical debt) and leverage them to enhance accuracy and quality. - Provide coaching and mentorship to engineers on agile methodologies, test automation, CI/CD, code quality, and observability practices. - Participate in risk and issue management that impacts software delivery and integration readiness, escalating concerns as necessary to safeguard integration deadlines. - Record integration outcomes, test results, and contribute insights for design evaluations and readiness reviews.
