Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree in engineering, physical sciences, or computer science
- Over 7 years of professional experience in optical engineering
- Experience in space-to-space and/or space-to-ground laser communication
- Proficient in performance, phenomenology, and modeling of space-based EO sensors
- Ability to train and mentor team members
- Must be eligible to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required)
Responsibilities
- Develop and validate requirements at mission and unit levels for OCTs, EO sensors, and space vehicle interfaces
- Design and implement models and simulations of optical systems
- Conduct unit and system-level tests both on-ground and in-orbit to confirm performance
- Oversee supplier and partner performance effectively
- Manage intricate projects by coordinating work statements, establishing and tracking budgets/schedules, and evaluating technical performance
- Support large-scale new business proposals
