Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in software design and development within a production setting
- Proven skills in scripting and backend software application development using Python
- Experience with Python webserver frameworks (Twisted, Flask, FastAPI) and creating RESTful web services along with message broker architectures
- Background in backend development interfacing with relational, time-series, and document databases (PostgreSQL, InfluxDB, MongoDB)
- Proficient in developing interactive user interfaces utilizing Javascript frameworks
- Knowledge of GitLab CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code methodologies
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies using Docker, Podman, and Kubernetes
- Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing
- Strong communication skills for conveying technical information both verbally and in writing
- Familiarity with iterative and agile software development processes
- Ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance

Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, integration, testing, and delivery of extensive ground software and mission control systems
- Collaborate with other Millennium personnel to assist in testing components, subsystems, and spacecraft in various test configurations
- Integrate Millennium-developed software applications with Government-provided software and infrastructure
- Conduct integrated system testing for products developed by Millennium and Government systems
- Implement specific mission data processing applications within existing systems to assist payloads and end users of data
- Assist in software testing and installation within classified settings
- Mentor junior developers through development tasks and troubleshooting
- Plan and carry out validation and verification testing
- Contribute to the development of ground software or tools by completing substantial feature requests and taking responsibility for larger software modules, analysis packages, and workflows
- Perform additional duties as necessary
