Requirements
Must:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or relevant non-US equivalent qualifications
- Over 5 years of systems engineering experience with a focus on system requirements development, management, and verification
- Proficient in authoring and reviewing detailed system requirements, Interface Control Documents (ICDs), and compliance matrices
- Experienced in requirements management and traceability
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create standards artifacts and lead cross-functional discussions
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary SCARS focal point and technical authority for simulator architecture standards and necessary artifacts
- Develop, assess, and enforce system-level requirements, ICDs, and compliance matrices to ensure SCARS alignment
- Convert SCARS standards into program-specific requirements and acceptance criteria, maintaining traceability
- Collaborate with program systems engineers, software, and Distributed Mission Operations (DMO) leads, along with Program Managers, to promote standards adoption
- Lead conformance evaluations, audits, and gap assessments; create remediation plans and verification methodologies
- Maintain and refine SCARS artifacts, templates, and guidance documents
- Offer subject-matter expertise during design reviews, integration planning, and supplier compliance evaluations
- Mentor junior systems engineers on best practices for requirements, Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)/SysML usage, and verification traceability
- Assist with accreditation, cybersecurity, and configuration management tasks related to SCARS compliance
