Lead Systems Integration and Test Engineer

- Lead the creation and implementation of the integration and test strategy for mission systems, ensuring it meets program goals and certification standards. - Develop and maintain system-level test plans, procedures, acceptance criteria, and verification models to ensure complete traceability of requirements. - Oversee integration activities across avionics and software for achieving efficient integration results. - Manage test efforts, including resource planning, scheduling, logistics, and creating contingency plans. - Establish and coordinate the necessary test infrastructure such as test rigs, data acquisition systems, and automated testing frameworks. - Guide test execution, data gathering, instrumentation, and performance verification against requirements while documenting any discrepancies. - Maintain rigorous configuration control and manage changes to test procedures and data, collaborating closely with Configuration Management and Systems Engineering teams. - Work with suppliers, subcontractors, and cross-functional teams to resolve integration challenges, align timelines, and uphold testing requirements. - Support safety and certification initiatives by generating verification evidence and contributing to safety assessments. - Champion continuous improvement of testing processes, automation, and tools to enhance efficiency, consistency, and data quality. - Provide technical guidance and mentorship to integration and test engineers, fostering capability growth through training and knowledge sharing. - Communicate testing status, outcomes, discrepancies, and recommendations to program management and stakeholders through clear reports and presentations. - Identify, evaluate, mitigate, and report risks associated with integration and testing to program leadership. - Optimize costs and scheduling for test activities, seeking opportunities to minimize rework and speed up verification timelines.
