Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors Degree in an engineering discipline or 15+ years of relevant experience - Over 10 years of experience in developing embedded real-time software - At least 3 years of programming in Ada - Minimum 3 years of experience in programming with C# - At least 2 years of experience in software verification of engineering requirements - Over 5 years of experience leading small teams (10+ individuals) on embedded software projects - Familiarity with DO-178, DO-254, or MIL-882 standards - Proven experience leading projects developed by avionics suppliers

Responsibilities

- Direct the creation, documentation, and maintenance of intricate architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and software designs - Oversee the coding and integration of complex software components into a fully operational software system - Create software verification plans, test procedures, and test environments, executing tests and documenting results to ensure system requirements are satisfied - Guide a team of over 10 engineers in the coding and integration of the Vehicle Management Systems Computers Tail Processor Card - Lead the team in developing black box tests for embedded software systems - Provide technical guidance for software projects and manage software supplier activities - Drive the development, selection, adaptation, and implementation of processes, tools, and metrics - Lead research and development initiatives in software and oversee estimation activities - Act as a subject matter expert for software domains, addressing system-specific issues, processes, and regulations - Monitor and assess the performance of the software team and suppliers to ensure adherence to project plans and industry standards - Mentor and train junior team members - Represent the organization as a spokesperson on advanced projects and programs - Advise management and clients on advanced technical research studies

This position focuses on the VMS Computer Operational Flight Program for the Engineering Manufacturing and Development and Obsolescence contracts. Join us in shaping the future of unmanned aviation by developing and integrating sophisticated avionics software for the MQ-25A Stingray, the worlds first operational carrier-based unmanned aircraft.
