Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree in an engineering discipline or 15 years of equivalent related experience
- 10 years of experience in developing embedded real-time software
- 3 years of experience in Ada programming
- 3 years of experience in C# programming
- 2 years of experience in verifying Software Engineering requirements
- 5 years of experience in leading small teams (approximately 10 members) on embedded software projects
- Familiarity with DO-178, DO-254, or MIL-882 standards
- Experience with Green Hills compiler
Responsibilities
- Lead efforts to create, document, and sustain complex architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and software designs
- Oversee the development and integration of multifaceted software components into a comprehensive operational system
- Formulate software verification plans, test procedures, and test environments, executing tests and recording results to confirm that software requirements are achieved
- Direct a team of 10 Engineers in the coding and integration of advanced software components for the Vehicle Management Systems Computers Tail Actuator Control Card
- Supervise the development of black box tests for embedded software systems
- Provide technical guidance for software initiatives and manage supplier relationships
- Drive the development, selection, customization, and implementation of processes, tools, and metrics
- Lead research and development projects in software
- Coordinate estimation activities
- Serve as a subject matter expert on software domains and operational protocols
- Assess the performance of the software team and suppliers, ensuring adherence to project plans and industry standards
- Mentor and train team members
- Represent the organization on advanced projects and programs
- Consult with management and clients on sophisticated technical research studies
