Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree in an engineering field or 15+ years of equivalent professional experience
- Over 10 years of experience in developing embedded real-time software
- Minimum of 3 years of programming experience in Ada
- Minimum of 3 years of programming experience in C#
- At least 2 years of experience in software engineering requirements verification
- More than 5 years leading small teams (10+ members) in embedded software projects
- Familiarity with DO-178, DO-254, or MIL-882 standards
- Experience with Green Hills compiler
Responsibilities
- Directs the development, documentation, and maintenance of intricate software architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs
- Oversees the coding and integration of complex software components into a cohesive software system
- Crafts software verification plans, test protocols, and test environments; executes tests and records results to ensure compliance with software system requirements
- Manages a team of 10+ engineers in the development of code and integration for the new Vehicle Management Systems Computers Tail Actuator Control Card
- Supervises the team in developing black box tests for embedded software systems
- Provides technical leadership for software initiatives and administers software supplier management activities
- Heads the selection, adaptation, and implementation of processes, tools, and performance metrics
- Leads research and development projects in software, and oversees estimation processes
- Acts as a subject matter expert in software domains, system-specific challenges, processes, and regulations
- Monitors software team and supplier performance to ensure adherence to project guidelines and industry benchmarks
- Mentors and trains team members
- Represents the organization on advanced projects and programs
- Advises management and clients on advanced technical research projects

We are currently seeking a MQ-25 Vehicle Management System (VMS) Software Lead Engineer to join our MQ-25 Vehicle Systems Software team in Hazelwood, MO. This role will concentrate on the VMS Computer (VMSC) Operational Flight Program (OFP) applicable to the Engineering Manufacturing and Development (EMD) and Obsolescence contracts. We are excited to develop software for the MQ-25A Stingray, the first operational unmanned aircraft to be carrier-based, integrating seamless communication and control for various subsystems, sensors, and the refueling system.
