Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree in an engineering discipline or 22 years of relevant work experience
- 10 years of experience in C++ and Python
- 10 years of experience in both Linux and Windows Operating Systems
- 10 years of experience in leading software projects or technical teams
- 10 years of experience in Real-Time Modeling and Simulation
- Knowledge of specification format requirements and change control processes
- Understanding of specifications/standards and aircraft/product certification systems
- Familiarity with host environments including processors, operating systems, and networks
- Ability to build, integrate and troubleshoot software components
- Knowledge of various software programming languages and databases
- Understanding of software architecture and design methodologies
- Ability to synthesize software architectures and designs that meet requirements
- Familiarity with software development processes in compliance with established standards
- Proficiency in general software development and testing tools
Responsibilities
- Oversee the design, development, testing, and maintenance of non-embedded software throughout its lifecycle
- Manage the review, analysis, and transformation of customer requirements into software designs
- Supervise the development, maintenance, enhancement, and optimization of software functionalities
- Direct the documentation and upkeep of software architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs
- Oversee debugging and resolution of issues to ensure software reliability and efficiency
- Handle user inquiries, troubleshoot technical issues, and analyze user feedback
- Research and implement current and emerging technologies and tools relevant to software development
- Lead the establishment, monitoring, and enhancement of software processes and key performance metrics
- Review planning, execution, and documentation of software research and development projects
- Consult on software domains and system-specific issues and regulations
- Manage software project activities and supplier management functions
- Monitor and evaluate software team and supplier performance for compliance with project plans
