Requirements
Must:
- Over 10 years of experience in embedded, real-time, or avionics systems
- Practical experience with RTOS, separation kernels, or hypervisors (e.g., seL4, ARINC 653, PikeOS)
- Understanding of mixed criticality design, determinism, and resource/timing budgeting
- Familiarity with hardware/software co-design (drivers, interrupts, DMA, memory/cache strategies)
- Knowledge of safety and/or security certification processes (DO 178C, ISO 26262, IEC 61508, or similar)
- Ability to specify architecture, make trade-offs, and document architectural choices
- Experience in building CI/CD, HIL, and integration test practices for embedded systems
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills, comfortable collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication skills for customer interactions, design reviews, and vendor communications
Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture for real-time and mixed criticality systems
- Define system decomposition, interfaces, and resource/timing objectives
- Ensure safety, security, and domain isolation
- Select and integrate operating systems, virtualization, and middleware technologies
- Supervise hardware/software co-design and performance optimization
- Establish verification and validation (V&V) and certification strategies
- Develop continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) and integration testing methodologies
- Mentor team members and act as a technical authority for clients and vendors
