Requirements
Must:
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science from an accredited institution
- Proficiency in C/C++, Python, or C#
- Experience in software configuration management
- Over 8 years of delivering software solutions to a production environment and creating high-quality, production-ready code
- At least 3 years of experience leading software teams or projects
- Willingness to travel up to 10%
Responsibilities
- Contribute to all stages of the software development life cycle including requirements, architecture, implementation, and verification
- Collaborate with small laboratory teams that possess varied engineering skills to address complex issues on diverse projects and features
- Develop technical products, documentation, and briefings to support program needs
- Provide expertise on software methodologies and processes to both internal and external stakeholders
- Assist in resolving programmatic and technical challenges that may affect cost, timeline, or performance
- Establish, maintain, and document software design standards across program areas
- Troubleshoot and analyze issues across software components
- Manage and organize detailed statements of work from internal and external clients
- Oversee a small team of software engineers, distributing workload and assigning tasks based on engineering priorities
- Offer data, suggestions, cost estimates, and development timelines for project planning
