Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors Degree in a relevant field - U.S. Citizenship to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance - Minimum of 2 years leading software projects or technical teams - At least 7 years of experience in embedded software architecture, development, or design - 7 years of professional experience with C, C++, C#, Python, Java, or Ada - Experience with distributed and containerized software architecture (preferred) - Familiarity with Linux and Windows platforms - Proficiency in using MSOSA or similar Model Based Systems Engineering tools - Understanding of Open Architecture standards and Agile methodologies - Background in developing mission systems software on aircraft platforms (preferred)

Responsibilities

- Lead the development, documentation, and maintenance of architecture, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs for software systems - Assist in creating and sustaining the Communications roadmap and vision - Spearhead the implementation of containerized software architecture on various hardware types - Develop open architecture constructs such as Open Mission Systems and Open Communication Standard - Define boundaries for OMS Subsystems and their corresponding service contracts - Oversee the integration of complex software components into a fully operational software system - Manage software verification plans, executing tests, and documenting results to ensure compliance with requirements - Provide technical guidance for software projects and supplier management activities - Plan, execute, and document research and development projects in software - Ensure software components meet safety standards and certification requirements - Monitor software team and supplier performance to align with project plans and industry norms - Train and mentor team members
