Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree
- Ability to Obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance, requiring U.S. Citizenship
- Minimum 2 years of experience leading software-related projects or technical teams
- At least 7 years of experience in embedded software architecture, development, or design
- Over 7 years of professional experience with programming languages such as C, C++, C#, Python, Java, or Ada
Responsibilities
- Direct activities to create, document, and sustain software system architecture, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs
- Assist in developing and sustaining the Communications roadmap and vision
- Spearhead the implementation of containerized software architecture across various hardware types
- Employ open architecture constructs like Open Mission Systems (OMS) and Open Communication Standard (OCS), utilizing the Universal Command and Control Interface (UCI)
- Outline parameters for OMS Subsystems, including requirements and service contracts
- Guide software code development and integration of complex software components into a cohesive system
- Supervise the creation of software verification plans, test procedures, and environments, executing tests and documenting results
- Provide technical leadership for software projects and oversee supplier management activities
- Plan, carry out, and record software research and development initiatives
- Ensure compliance of software components with safety standards and interoperability certifications
- Monitor and assess software team and supplier performance for product and process alignment with project plans and industry standards
- Mentor and train others to enhance team skills
