Requirements

Must:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or equivalent qualifications related to the work statement - 14 years or more of relevant experience or a combination of technical education and experience - 5+ years of experience in Air Vehicle Systems - 5+ years of experience in aerodynamics, aeroelasticity, flutter, structural dynamics, modern control systems, and/or finite element methods - Active U.S. Security Clearance within the last 24 months (preferred) - 9+ years of experience in aerodynamics, aeroelasticity, flutter, structural dynamics, modern control systems, and/or finite element methods (preferred) - Experience in Laboratory Test, Flight Test, and/or Flight Science domains (preferred) - Experience leading teams on complex projects (preferred) - Experience in engineering modeling and/or analysis with programming (preferred) - Working experience with tactical fixed-wing aircraft (preferred) - Strong communication skills and customer-focused attitude (preferred)

Responsibilities

- Engage in developing air vehicle specifications for aeroelasticity such as flutter, divergence, freeplay, and rigidity - Collaborate with airframe and subsystem design engineers to create integrated aero and structural models for flight vehicle analysis in a Model-Based Engineering environment - Conduct analysis for flutter, divergence, aeroservoelasticity, freeplay, and rigidity to assist with air vehicle design and stores integration - Establish permissible flight envelopes and operational constraints - Formulate flight flutter test and ground vibration test strategies - Develop finite element models and validate them with test outcomes - Execute ground and/or flight testing by crafting test requirements, providing data for pre-test assessment, monitoring testing, analyzing data, and documenting findings to support design and verification of vehicles and components - Evaluate and approve airframe and subsystem hardware packages for flight safety ensuring the air vehicle meets service standards - Provide supporting data for defining and documenting structural design requirements, ensuring compliance with company, customer, and regulatory standards - Present engineering data and findings to management and clients during program reviews and technical meetings
