Requirements

Must:
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science from an accredited institution - Minimum of 3 years relevant work experience or an equivalent mix of education and experience - Proficiency in C/C++ programming languages - Experience in developing and utilizing modeling and simulation tools in C/C++ and Matlab/Simulink - Familiarity with Optical/Infrared Sensor image and signal processing algorithms for GPS Denied navigation and object tracking - Knowledge of advanced mathematical concepts applicable to aerospace modeling and analysis, including stochastic processes, decision theory, computational geometry, and optimization - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

- Lead the development and analysis of Imaging Infrared Sensor algorithms for weapon system navigation and guidance applications - Function as a consultant in testing and resolving issues related to sensor-based algorithms across weapon systems - Conduct trade studies, modeling, simulation, and analyses to forecast system performance and optimize design requirements - Design and execute critical tests to verify performance against specifications - Collaborate in a team setting to create innovative models, simulation tools, and algorithm strategies for systems using Infrared, Laser, and Radar sensors - Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers - Collect and analyze data from hardware-in-the-loop tests and flight tests to validate performance - Assess candidate sensor systems to enhance airborne capabilities and ensure cost-effectiveness - Support project management duties by coordinating development plans, budgets, and schedules
