Requirements
Must:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or an equivalent qualification directly related to this role.
- For Level 4 Engineer: At least 9 years of relevant experience.
- For Level 5 Engineer: At least 14 years of relevant experience.
- Proficient in MS SQL Server database administration and development.
- Strong understanding of T-SQL, PL/SQL, VBA, or similar Microsoft development languages such as VB or C#.
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Access databases, including support for existing applications.
- Background in designing, implementing, and maintaining computing system environments.
- Familiarity with cloud services and managing virtual machines running on Windows OS.
- Experience with Product Lifecycle Management in an industrial production setting.
- Knowledge of engineering data management and configuration/change management processes is preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong communication skills.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams to meet data and application requirements.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and program configuration management and engineering applications using MS Access Front End database architecture.
- Create and manage SQL Server Database Management Systems to function as data repositories for MS Access Front End applications.
- Provide support for database applications to engineering teams and merge engineering data from multiple sources.
- Manage access permissions for servers, databases, and file shares related to applications.
- Work closely with engineering to understand task assignments, requirements, and deliverables related to data.
- Support computing system environments and solutions that align with engineering standards and practices.
- Administer cloud services and oversee virtual machines operating on Windows OS.
- Utilize Product Lifecycle Management principles within an industrial production context.
