Requirements
Must:
I am seeking candidates with a minimum of 10 years of leadership experience in software development, particularly within government contracting and services. You should have a proven history of managing technical teams and successfully delivering projects, along with at least 5 years of budget oversight. Additionally, I require 3 years of experience in providing technical direction for software development efforts that support capture and business development initiatives. A deep understanding of the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including methodologies like Agile and DevOps, is essential. Familiarity with government regulations and compliance standards concerning software development and cybersecurity is also necessary. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, are critical for engaging effectively with diverse stakeholders. Experience in budget management and resource allocation is preferred.
Responsibilities
As the Chief Software Engineering Manager, you will develop and implement a technology vision and strategy for Tapestry Solutions, ensuring alignment with overall business goals and government requirements. You will drive innovation by enhancing software development practices and methodologies to improve our product offerings and service delivery. Your role will involve leading technical requirements and resource allocation to support capture activities, including proposal development and solution design. You will oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of our IT infrastructure to ensure it meets operational needs and supports the software development lifecycle. Establishing and enforcing cybersecurity policies to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with federal regulations will also be a key responsibility. You will lead and mentor a team of software engineers and IT professionals, promote a culture of collaboration and high performance, and be involved in budget oversight to ensure efficient resource allocation. Staying updated on industry trends and identifying growth opportunities while managing risks associated with technology initiatives will be crucial.
