Requirements

Must:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or equivalent qualifications - Minimum of 4 years related engineering experience - Previous experience in Systems Engineering including design, functional decomposition, requirements development, analysis, verification, and validation - Preferred: 7 or more years of relevant work experience or an equivalent blend of education and experience - Preferred: Active U.S. Security Clearance - Preferred: Leadership experience in engineering roles and team management - Preferred: Experience with Aircraft, Mission Systems, and/or Weapon System development - Preferred: Background in verification and/or certification of military safety-critical or mission-critical systems - Preferred: Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools such as Cameo or SysML-compatible tools - Technical familiarity with tools such as DOORS, Pspice, Python, C#, C++, JavaScript, Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, Git, CAFTA, ReliaSoft, or FaultTree+

Responsibilities

- Lead systems engineering activities on new development, production, and sustainment programs, ensuring alignment with goals - Convert customer and operational needs into system performance requirements - Direct cross-functional teams to establish and maintain system requirements, interfaces, behaviors, and verification criteria for intricate systems - Conduct analyses in areas such as affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, and security to ensure mission success - Facilitate design reviews and technical evaluations, offering recommendations for enhancing system performance - Oversee and enhance requirements management, tracking of risks/issues/opportunities, and technology readiness assessment processes - Spearhead the programs adoption of advanced Systems Engineering methodologies (e.g., Model Based Systems Engineering) - Mentor and advise engineers on Systems Engineering tools, techniques, planning, and strategy
