Requirements
Must:
- 1 year of relevant experience for Level 2; 3 years for Level 3; and 5 years for Level 4 positions.
- Proven experience in DevOps practices.
- Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Knowledge of network protocols and services, such as DNS and DHCP.
- Understanding of virtualization technologies like VMware for virtual machine management and optimization.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automating tasks and improving efficiency.
- Experience with automation tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, or Jenkins.
- Relevant educational background typically acquired through advanced technical education; the specifics vary by level (2, 3, or 4).
Responsibilities
- Establish automation and tools for setting up and configuring Windows and Linux servers, as well as Windows workstations.
- Monitor systems for performance, troubleshoot issues, and conduct regular maintenance, including updates, patches, and security fixes.
- Automate the configuration and management of network services like DNS, DHCP, and Active Directory to ensure seamless communication and resource sharing.
- Implement and manage backup protocols to safeguard data and facilitate disaster recovery in case of system failures.
- Automate system performance monitoring to aid in capacity planning and enhance disaster recovery strategies.
- Put in place and maintain security protocols to shield systems from unauthorized access and malware threats.
- Analyze system performance to identify inefficiencies and implement improvements.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation regarding system configurations and processes, along with performance and security reports.
- Participate in the planning and rollout of new systems, upgrades, and migrations, ensuring best practices are upheld.
- Stay updated on the latest technologies, industry trends, and security practices to enhance skills and knowledge continuously.
