Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors Degree - Over 5 years of experience leading software teams and/or projects - More than 5 years of expertise in software architecture, design, interface, and integration techniques - 5+ years working with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS), Linux, and Windows - 5+ years in embedded low-level and application software development, including Interface Control Document and Statement of Work development - 7+ years of proficiency in designing and developing software with C++ and/or C - Familiarity with real-time software domains, such as control systems and communication protocols - Capability to obtain and sustain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance and participate in Special Access Programs

Responsibilities

- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to establish comprehensive software system definitions and translate system-level requirements into actionable software requirements and models - Work closely with the Chief Software Architect - Assess software system-level analyses for risks and opportunities; spearhead integration and execution of mitigation strategies throughout the software lifecycle - Facilitate code reviews to ensure conformity to requirements and standards - Oversee the completion and verification processes of software testing and address any arising issues - Review products and processes for alignment with project objectives and industry benchmarks by monitoring internal team and supplier performance - Implement contemporary technologies, tools, frameworks, and regulatory changes pertinent to software development - Analyze customer and system requirements and create architectural strategies and detailed specifications for various software products and subsystems - Manage the design, development, analysis, and maintenance of software systems that align with industry, customer, and internal quality, safety, security, and certification standards - Act as a subject matter expert for software domains and system-specific matters - Break down high-level system requirements into hardware and software specifications - Mentor and nurture engineers at all stages through knowledge sharing - Capable of overseeing projects from initiation to completion with minimal supervision - Demonstrate teamwork and coordination skills while clarifying ambiguous situations - Conduct risk assessments and contribute enhancements or updates to system components
